Parent Teacher Association Meet 2017-18
PTA Meet of B.E.Mechanical Engineering students was held on 22nd July 2017 in Seminar hall of the Department. Around 50 parents from various places attended in the meet. The meet began with appointment of Chairman of the function. One of the parents and a well-known Social Worker in and around Patan area, Mr. Rajendra Chavan graced the dais as the Chairman of this meet. Hon. Principal, Dr. S. V. Anekar, Head of the Department. Prof. N. S. Hanamapure, IQA Cell In-charge, Prof. V. R. Gambhire, and PTA Meet Co-ordinator Prof. A.V. Patil shared the dais. All the meritorious students of Third Year who came of with flying colors in University Examinations were felicitated by the dignitaries on the dais. The team from TKIET led by Mr. Makarand Gadhave participated in a competition under Unnat Maharashtra Abhiyan was also felicitated with the Certificates, as it ranked SECOND among 6000 participants. Prof. A.V. Patil, Co-ordinator of the meet, elaborated the objectives of PTA meet followed by a presentation by Dr. A.S. Todkar exhibiting various academic and career-focused facilities in the Department. Prof. V.R. Gambhire of IQAC explained accreditation process and its significance in view of Institute, student and the parents. Prof. R.T. Salunkhe and Prof. P.V. Kamble from Training & Placement cell shared information about various Training and Placement activities being carried out in the Department. Prof. M.R. Jadhav focused on project and seminar of final year students. Prof. S. V. Lingaraju of Career Development Cell shared information about GATE and its training followed by recruitment processes of PSUs. Some parents came forward to express their opinions & share their experiences. Head of Department Prof. N. S. Hanamapure shared his views covering various topics such as discipline, hard work, and soft skill. The meet was concluded with Chairman´┐Żs speech. Prof. K. D. Joshi, the master of ceremonies, gave away the Vote of thanks.
